Research Questions

  1. How do differences and hierarchies between student groups and educational institutions develop and manifest themselves when choosing a book study for a matriculation examination in the Icelandic upper secondary school system, in times of competition and globalization?
  2. How are students’ choices and future plans marked by cultural, geographical, social and educational factors?
  3. Identity formation: How do students define themselves and their ideas about other adolescents?
